Interior ADU

What is interior ADU?

An interior ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) is a self-contained living unit that is located within an existing single-family home or attached to it, such as in a basement or garage. An ADU is a smaller, independent living unit that can be used as a rental space or as additional living quarters for family members.

Interior ADUs are becoming increasingly popular as a way to provide affordable housing options, accommodate multi-generational families, or generate additional rental income. An interior ADU typically includes a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area, and is designed to be fully functional and independent from the rest of the home.
